Ren'Py visual novels

Ren’Py is the engine most adult visual novels are written in. It is free, it runs on Windows, Mac, Linux and Android, and its scripting is simple enough that many developers learned it on their first story. A Ren’Py build is recognisable at once: a text box along the bottom, a menu of choices when the story branches, a rollback key to reread a line, and a save system that lets you keep several routes going at the same time. Because nearly every developer uses the same engine, the differences between these volumes are in the writing and the art, not the interface.
